About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs. This full-time opportunity is based in Luton, with roles also available across the East of England. You’ll use your technical expertise to provide a professional, convenient service for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in a mobile setting.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high professional standard.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Organise tools, equipment and daily tasks to support efficient mobile working.
What You'll Need
- Relevant vehicle maintenance and repair skills and technical knowledge.
- A methodical approach to diagnosing faults and resolving mechanical issues.
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- A strong commitment to safe working practices and quality workmanship.
- Availability to work the advertised hours, including one in four Saturdays.

- A competitive base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.

- A full-time, 40-hour working week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
