About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs through a mobile service. This full-time role is listed in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, with opportunities across the East of England. You will bring practical technical skills and a customer-focused approach to keeping vehicles safe and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customers’ locations.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair requirements.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard, following relevant procedures.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Organise daily jobs and keep tools and equipment ready for use.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role.

- Flexibility to travel for mobile appointments and work the advertised Saturday rota.

- A base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
- A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- A full-time, 40-hour working week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
