About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs. This full-time opportunity is advertised in Hertford, Hertfordshire, and forms part of the Harlow cluster, covering areas including Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth and Waltham Abbey. You’ll bring practical technical expertise and a customer-focused approach to keeping vehicles safe and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in a mobile setting.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair work.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard, following relevant procedures.
- Explain findings and completed work clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing and repairs.
- Travel across the cluster’s coverage area to attend scheduled jobs.

What's on Offer
- A base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
- A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- Full-time work of 40 hours per week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
