About the Role
Join RAC as a full-time Mobile Vehicle Technician in its Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Division, delivering vehicle care in a mobile setting. You’ll be part of the Cheltenham cluster, covering Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Stroud and Cirencester. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer service, with a base salary of £40,170 and on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs across your allocated area.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair work.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard, following relevant procedures.
- Explain findings and work completed clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, inspections and repairs.
- Organise your daily workload and travel between customer appointments.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- A careful approach to safety, quality and record-keeping.
- The ability to travel across the Cheltenham cluster and work the stated Saturday rota.
