About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its SMR Division, delivering mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in the Watford area. Working as part of the Hemel Hempstead cluster, you’ll bring technical expertise and helpful customer service to a full-time, mobile role. The position offers a base salary of £45,370, inclusive of London Weighting Allowance where applicable, with on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customers’ locations.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high professional standard.
- Explain findings and completed work clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
- Work with colleagues across the Hemel Hempstead cluster to support an efficient mobile service.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- A responsible approach to safety, quality and record-keeping.
- Availability to work the advertised hours, including one in four Saturdays.
