About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Division, delivering vehicle repairs through a mobile service. This full-time opportunity is advertised in Sittingbourne, Kent, and forms part of the Maidstone cluster, covering areas including Maidstone and Medway. You’ll bring practical technical skills and a customer-focused approach to keeping vehicles running safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs across your allocated area.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair work.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard, following relevant procedures.
- Explain findings and completed work clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs and vehicle checks.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role and organise your workload.
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
- A commitment to safe working practices and quality workmanship.
- Availability to travel across the cluster area and work the advertised Saturday rota.
