About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division, based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. This full-time Mobile Vehicle Technician role focuses on mobile servicing, maintenance and repairs rather than roadside rescue. You will bring practical vehicle expertise and a customer-focused approach to delivering work at customers’ locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in a mobile setting.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair work.
- Complete work safely and to a high professional standard.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing and repairs.
What You'll Need
- Relevant practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and organise your workload.
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
- A strong focus on safe working practices and attention to detail.
- Availability to work the advertised schedule, including one in four Saturdays.
