About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Division, delivering vehicle care through a mobile repair service. This full-time role is advertised in Wednesbury, West Midlands, with the working area to be confirmed during recruitment. You’ll earn a base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customers’ locations.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high professional standard.
- Explain findings and completed repairs clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, servicing and repair work.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role.

- Availability to work the advertised hours, including one in four Saturdays.
