About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Division, delivering vehicle care through a mobile repair service. This full-time role is part of the Stevenage cluster, covering Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City and surrounding areas. You’ll bring practical technical skills and a customer-focused approach to servicing, maintaining and repairing vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customers’ locations.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high professional standard.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Travel between appointments across the Stevenage cluster.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage scheduled appointments.
- Clear communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
- A safety-conscious approach and attention to detail.
- A valid driving licence suitable for a mobile role.

- A base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
