About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Division, delivering vehicle care through a mobile repair service. Based around Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, you’ll be part of the Esher cluster, working across the local area. This full-time role offers a competitive base salary with on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Travel between customer locations within your assigned coverage area.
- Explain work and repair recommendations clearly to customers.
- Complete work safely and maintain accurate service and repair records.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and organise a mobile workload.
- A customer-focused approach and clear communication skills.
- A suitable driving licence for travelling between jobs.
- Availability to work the advertised hours, including one in four Saturdays.
What's on Offer
- A base salary of £45,370, inclusive of London Weighting Allowance where applicable.
- On-target earnings of up to £57,000, with overtime and bonus opportunities.
- A full-time, 40-hour working week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
- A mobile role within RAC’s SMR Division, serving the Walton-on-Thames area as part of the Esher cluster.
