About the Role
Join RAC as a full-time Mobile Mechanic in Chester, Cheshire, working within the Service, Maintenance and Repair division. You’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to customers, delivering a professional mobile service. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer contact across the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customer locations.
- Use diagnostic skills and equipment to identify vehicle faults and determine appropriate repairs.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard, following relevant procedures.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, servicing and repairs.
- Manage your daily workload effectively while providing a professional customer experience.
What You'll Need
- Strong practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Confident diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- A careful, organised approach to safe working and record-keeping.
- A driving licence suitable for travelling between customer locations.

- A competitive base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
- A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385.

- A full-time, 40-hour working week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
