About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Division, delivering vehicle care through a mobile repair service. Based around St. Albans, Hertfordshire, you’ll be part of the Luton cluster, working across the surrounding area. This full-time role offers a 40-hour working week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs across your allocated area.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing and repairs.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role.
- A customer-focused approach and clear communication skills.

- A stated base salary of £45,370, inclusive of London Weighting Allowance where applicable.
- On-target earnings of up to £57,000.
