About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its SMR Division, delivering mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs. Based around Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, you’ll work as part of the Luton cluster, travelling to customers across the surrounding area. This is a full-time role combining hands-on technical work with customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customer locations.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repairs.
- Complete work safely and to a professional standard.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Travel between appointments within your assigned coverage area.
What You'll Need
- Relevant practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload.
- A customer-focused approach and clear communication skills.
- A suitable driving licence for a mobile role.
- Availability to work the advertised hours, including one in four Saturdays.
What's on Offer
- An advertised base salary of £45,370, inclusive of London Weighting Allowance where applicable.
- On-target earnings of up to £57,000.
- Additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- A full-time, 40-hour working week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
- A mobile technical role within RAC’s SMR Division.
