About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in its Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Division, delivering mobile vehicle support across the local area. This full-time opportunity is advertised in Thatcham, West Berkshire, and forms part of the Reading cluster, covering areas including Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Henley-on-Thames and Crowthorne. You’ll bring practical technical skills and a customer-focused approach to servicing and repairing vehicles at customers’ locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high professional standard.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Keep accurate records of servicing, repairs and checks.
- Travel between appointments across the Reading cluster.

- A base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
