About the Role
Invictus Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a contract role with a leading building maintenance provider. Based across two buildings in Amersham and High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, you will join a skilled engineering team delivering planned and reactive mechanical maintenance. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with participation in a 1-in-5 call-out rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on mechanical building services across both sites.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests, investigating faults and completing appropriate repairs.
- Monitor mechanical equipment and identify issues that could affect safe, reliable operation.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance tasks and remedial work.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team and follow site health and safety procedures.
- Participate in the 1-in-5 call-out rota to support maintenance requirements outside normal working hours.
What You'll Need
- Experience in mechanical maintenance within a building services or facilities maintenance environment.
- Strong practical skills in fault-finding, servicing and repairing mechanical systems.
- The ability to manage planned tasks alongside reactive maintenance priorities.
- A sound understanding of safe working practices and maintenance documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an engineering team.
- Availability to work across Amersham and High Wycombe and take part in the call-out rota.
