About the Role
VANRATH is recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical BIM Technician on behalf of an established M&E contractor. This permanent role can be based in Belfast or Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland. You will support the production and coordination of mechanical and electrical building information models, helping project teams deliver accurate technical information.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and update BIM models and technical drawings for mechanical and electrical installations.
- Support the coordination of M&E services with other building disciplines.
- Identify potential clashes and work with the project team to resolve coordination issues.
- Incorporate design changes and maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation.
- Liaise with design and site teams to ensure drawings and models reflect project requirements.
What You'll Need
- Experience in BIM modelling or technical drawing within a mechanical and electrical building services environment.
- Confidence using BIM and CAD software to prepare coordinated technical information.
- An understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and how they integrate within buildings.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and design information.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills and an organised approach to managing workload.
