About the Role
Ramsay Health Care is seeking a part-time Maintenance Engineer to support Fitzwilliam and Thorpe Wood Hospitals in Peterborough and Boston West Hospital in Boston. You will help maintain safe, reliable hospital facilities that support the delivery of high-quality clinical care. The role includes out-of-hours on-call cover one week in every three.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to support the smooth running of hospital facilities.
- Investigate faults and complete repairs within your area of competence.
- Work with hospital teams to minimise disruption to patients, staff and clinical services during maintenance work.
- Follow relevant health and safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Support maintenance requirements across the Peterborough and Boston hospital sites.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota one week in every three.
What You'll Need
- Relevant engineering or maintenance experience and practical fault-finding skills.
- A safety-conscious approach to working in a healthcare environment.
- The ability to prioritise maintenance tasks and respond calmly to urgent issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with hospital colleagues.
- Flexibility to support the named hospital sites and participate in the on-call rota.
