About the Role
Rydon Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a contract role in Guildford, Surrey. You will join a South East-based team delivering planned and reactive maintenance for an NHS client providing emergency and urgent healthcare services in pre-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Working within Rydon Maintenance’s hard facilities management service, you will help keep building electrical systems safe and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned electrical maintenance across the buildings covered by the service.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests, investigating faults and completing appropriate repairs.
- Inspect electrical installations and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Maintain clear records of inspections, faults and completed work.
- Work with the wider maintenance team to minimise disruption to healthcare operations.
- Follow relevant electrical safety requirements and site procedures.
What You'll Need
- Experience as a building maintenance electrician, including planned and reactive work.
- Relevant electrical qualifications and a sound understanding of safe working practices.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
- The ability to prioritise maintenance tasks and respond effectively to urgent issues.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to working in healthcare environments.
