About the Role
Ramsay Health Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of Ramsay Renacres Hospital, located just outside Ormskirk, Lancashire. Working in a healthcare environment, you will help maintain safe, functional facilities that support patient care and day-to-day hospital operations. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week, with on-call duties one week in three.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs across the hospital’s buildings and facilities.
- Carry out checks to identify faults, wear and potential safety hazards.
- Respond to maintenance requests, taking account of the needs of patients and hospital teams.
- Report issues requiring specialist attention and support follow-up work.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance checks and work completed.
- Participate in the on-call rota one week in three, following safe working practices throughout.
What You'll Need

- Availability to work 37.5 hours per week and take part in the on-call rota.
