Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing Basic Pay: £12.85 per hour + Shift Allowance Monday–Friday Rotating Shifts: • Week 1: 6:00am–2:00pm • Week 2: 2:00pm–10:00pm The Role Quest Employment are recruiting for an experienced Machine Operative to join a busy food production and packing operation in Peterborough. You will be responsible for operating and monitoring packing machinery, ensuring products are packed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Operate packing machinery safely and efficiently
Monitor machinery and report any faults or issues
Support and oversee Packing Operatives
Complete production and packing paperwork accurately
Ensure correct labelling and product traceability
Follow customer specifications and packing instructions
Maintain high Food Safety, Quality and Health & Safety standards
Minimise waste and maximise production output
Maintain a clean and organised working area
Work as part of a team to achieve production targets
About You To be considered for this role, you must have: Minimum 1 year of previous Machine Operating experience Experience within food production, manufacturing or a similar environment Good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety Excellent attention to detail Ability to complete paperwork accurately Good organisational and communication skills Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to identify and report machinery faults Flexibility to work rotating shifts Why Apply?
