About the Role
Hackajob Ltd is advertising a contract opportunity for a Lead Software Data Engineer in Glasgow, Scotland, working with a leading global investment bank. Joining the Corporate Sector’s agile data engineering team, you will help develop a trusted Global Know Your Customer (KYC) and Risk Assessment Data Platform. You will lead across multiple teams, shape architecture and engineering standards, and deliver technology that supports customer due diligence and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead software and data engineering delivery across multiple teams supporting the global KYC platform.
- Define architecture and engineering standards to guide consistent, maintainable development.
- Guide the design and development of reliable data solutions for KYC and risk assessment.
- Work with technical and business stakeholders to translate platform requirements into engineering priorities.
- Promote data quality, sound engineering practices and continuous improvement within an agile environment.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and support collaborative problem-solving.
What You'll Need
- Strong experience in software and data engineering, with the ability to lead complex technical delivery.
- Experience defining architecture and establishing engineering standards.
- The ability to coordinate technical work across multiple teams and communicate decisions clearly.
- A strong understanding of reliable data platform design, data quality and maintainability.
- Experience working collaboratively in agile engineering teams.
- An understanding of KYC, risk assessment or financial services data environments would be valuable.
