About the Role
Blenheim Schools is recruiting an IT Site Engineer based at Hydesville Tower School in Birchills, Walsall, West Midlands. Hydesville Tower School is a co-educational independent day school for pupils aged 2–16 and is part of OFG Education, combining small class sizes and a strong pastoral ethos with a focus on academic excellence. In this role, you will help maintain reliable day-to-day IT services to support teaching, learning and school operations. This is a permanent, year-round position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support, helping staff and pupils resolve technical issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot problems with computers, software and connected equipment.
- Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of IT hardware and applications.
- Help maintain network connectivity and the availability of school IT systems.
- Keep accurate records of support requests, equipment and maintenance work.
- Follow school procedures for information security, data protection and safe use of technology.
What You'll Need
- Practical IT support skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, common software applications and basic networking.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical users.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing support requests.

- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school environment.
