About the Role
Bond Williams Limited is recruiting an Inventory Accountant for an established international manufacturing business in Salisbury, Wiltshire. This permanent role will play a vital part in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and visibility of inventory across the business. You will focus on inventory management and valuation, stock reconciliations and work in progress (WIP), working closely with operational teams to improve the quality of inventory information.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of inventory accounting, ensuring records are accurate and reliable.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuations, including raw materials and work in progress.
- Complete stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies between accounting records and stock information.
- Monitor and review WIP information to support accurate inventory reporting.
- Liaise with operational teams to improve the accuracy and visibility of inventory data.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen inventory accounting processes and controls.
What You'll Need
- Experience in inventory accounting, stock valuation and reconciliations.
- An understanding of manufacturing inventory processes, including raw materials and WIP.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when reviewing financial and stock data.
- The ability to investigate discrepancies and work with colleagues to resolve them.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with operational teams.
- A proactive approach to improving accounting records, reporting and controls.
