About the Role
HP4 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) on behalf of a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. You will assess accident-damaged vehicles, identify the repairs required and produce accurate repair estimates. This is a full-time, permanent position offering £45,000 per annum, with Monday-to-Friday working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect accident-damaged vehicles to establish the nature and extent of damage.
- Identify the repair work, replacement parts and labour required.
- Prepare accurate, clearly documented vehicle repair estimates.
- Liaise with bodyshop colleagues to communicate repair requirements and clarify assessment findings.
- Review assessments when additional damage is identified and update estimates accordingly.
What You'll Need
- An IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment.
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within an automotive repair environment.
- A sound understanding of vehicle damage, repair methods and estimating processes.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting vehicles and preparing estimates.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with bodyshop colleagues.
- The ability to organise your workload in a busy bodyshop.
