The role also involves managing void properties by coordinating cleaning, repairs, furniture replacement, and preparing rooms for new residents to ensure accommodation can be allocated quickly and efficiently. A key aspect of the role is promoting the safety and wellbeing of residents. You will lead on health and safety inspections, fire safety checks and drills, support residents to understand building procedures, and respond appropriately to any health and safety concerns. You will also maintain accurate records, support rent and housing benefit processes, work collaboratively with colleagues across services, and build positive relationships with local communities, stakeholders and neighbours to ensure Hestia properties remain positive and respected spaces within the community. What do I need to bring with me? To be successful in this role, you will have experience working within a housing environment and a good understanding of health and safety requirements within supported housing or refuge settings. You will be confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records, with strong communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and external partners. You will have basic maintenance skills, the ability to work independently, strong organisational and time management skills, and a commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
