About the Role
Gap Technical Ltd is recruiting an HGV Technician on behalf of a global manufacturing business at its facility near Crewe. This permanent, days-only role involves maintaining the company’s HGVs and completing work on time, in line with manufacturer guidelines. It is an opportunity for a skilled technician to put their vehicle maintenance expertise into practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on the company’s HGVs.
- Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete maintenance tasks within agreed timescales and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and servicing work.
- Follow safe working practices and report defects requiring further attention.
What You'll Need
- Relevant experience in HGV servicing, maintenance and repair.
- A sound understanding of heavy vehicle systems and fault-finding techniques.
- The ability to interpret and follow manufacturer maintenance instructions.
- A methodical approach, with attention to detail and a commitment to safe working.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to complete work on time.
