About the Role
Talent Finder is advertising for an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join an established plant hire company with over 50 years of industry experience. Based in Black Bourton, near Bampton in Oxfordshire, you will maintain and repair the company’s HGV fleet, helping to keep vehicles safe, reliable and ready for use. This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with optional Saturday overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on the HGV fleet.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete appropriate repairs.
- Inspect vehicles to identify defects, wear and maintenance requirements.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, servicing and repair work.
- Follow safe working practices and maintain an organised workshop.
- Help minimise vehicle downtime through timely and effective maintenance.
What You'll Need
- Experience working as an HGV Technician or Mechanic.
- Sound knowledge of HGV servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Practical fault-finding skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing problems.
- A strong focus on safety, reliability and quality workmanship.
- The ability to manage day-to-day maintenance tasks and work effectively with colleagues.
What's on Offer
- A salary of £45,000–£48,000 per annum.
