About the Role
Taskmaster Resources Limited is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a leading transport company in Sheffield S9. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with immediate starts available and flexible shift patterns. You will support safe, reliable transport operations while maintaining a professional approach to deliveries and road safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and in accordance with road traffic legislation.
- Complete scheduled collections and deliveries, keeping the transport team informed of progress.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
- Check that loads are secure before departure and follow safe working procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and comply with drivers’ hours and tachograph requirements.
What You'll Need
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- Previous experience driving HGV vehicles.
- A sound understanding of drivers’ hours regulations and vehicle safety requirements.
- A reliable, professional approach and clear communication skills.
What's on Offer
- Pay of £16.00–£19.00 per hour, with an advertised annual salary range of £33,280–£39,520.
- A £1,000 sign-on bonus: £500 after 30 days of continuous employment and a further £500 after 60 days, subject to terms and conditions.
- A temp-to-perm opportunity with a route to permanent employment.
