About the Role
Driver Hire Romford is recruiting an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver for a contract role delivering and collecting welfare equipment. You will carry out multi-drop journeys, including deliveries into London, and use a HIAB/crane to load, unload and position equipment safely. The role requires a licence covering the operation of chains and slings.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV with a HIAB/crane for deliveries and collections.
- Transport portable toilets, welfare units, temporary site equipment and related products.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries, including routes into London.
- Load, unload and secure equipment and materials correctly.
- Operate the HIAB/crane safely and efficiently, positioning equipment on site where required.
- Check that loads are secure before travelling and maintain safe working practices throughout each job.
What You'll Need
- A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence.
- A valid HIAB/crane qualification or licence covering the use of chains and slings.
- The ability to load, unload and secure equipment safely.
- Confidence carrying out multi-drop deliveries and driving into London.
- A safety-focused approach to crane operation and positioning equipment on site.
