Pertemps Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for temporary, ongoing work with Royal Mail in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. This full-time opportunity involves reliable depot-to-depot driving, transporting mail along planned routes with minimal loading or unloading. Morning, evening and weekend shifts are available, with hourly pay of up to £24.57.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport mail safely between Royal Mail depots.
- Follow planned routes and work to scheduled delivery times.
- Complete vehicle safety checks before each shift and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate driving and delivery records.
- Comply with road transport regulations, drivers’ hours rules and site safety procedures.
What You'll Need
- A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and a digital tachograph card.
- A sound understanding of vehicle safety checks and drivers’ hours regulations.
- A reliable, punctual approach and a commitment to safe driving.
- Availability for agreed shifts across the morning, evening or weekend options.
