About the Role
People Solutions is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for a well-established logistics client in Daventry, Northamptonshire. This contract role offers ongoing work, immediate starts and genuine temporary-to-permanent opportunities. Newer passes are welcome, provided you have at least six months’ experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and in accordance with road transport regulations.
- Complete allocated transport duties, following route instructions and delivery schedules.
- Carry out vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
- Maintain accurate driving records and relevant transport paperwork.
- Follow drivers’ hours, tachograph and site health and safety requirements.
- Communicate professionally with the transport team and customers.
What You'll Need
- A valid HGV Class 1 driving licence.
- At least six months’ relevant driving experience.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- A sound understanding of drivers’ hours and road safety requirements.
- A reliable, safety-conscious approach and good communication skills.
