This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Monday to Friday work, and long-term opportunities for the right candidates. There is also an incentive bonus of up to £550 for the forthcoming peak period. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver. Rates of Pay: £22.25 per hour (Midnight – 11.59am) £24.25 per hour (12.00pm - 23.59pm) £26.85 per hour (Saturdays) £28.25 per hour (Sundays / B/H) Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday AM and PM shifts available Start times between 01:00 and 04:00 or 17:00 and 19:00 Benefits: Your benefits as an HGV Class 1 Driver are: Weekly pay Ongoing work Excellent rates of pay Overtime available Training & Development Rest Room facilities Secure on-site parking (free) Access to Employee Assistance Program Employee Recognition Scheme Employee referral program Modern fleet and well-maintained vehicles Permanent positions available for suitable candidates Day-to-Day Duties: Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are: Safely operating Category C+E vehicles, completing multidrop deliveries to stores and collecting returns where appropriate Handling both palletised goods and cages Night deliveries – air lock process Making timely deliveries to various destinations Communicating effectively with the transport team Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety regulations Ensuring full compliance with driving laws xrexnqw and working time directives Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category CE Licence A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card A minimum of 2 years' continuous Class 1 driving experience No more than six penalty points for minor infringements No major endorsement codes Excellent communication and time management skills A professional and reliable attitude Training: Driving assessment required prior to start Full industry-related training and ongoing support People Solutions do not charge any of its applicants any referral fees.
