About the role
We are looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver for temporary daytime work in Immingham. The role involves the safe and responsible transportation of cargo, following planned routes and completing deliveries or collections as required.
Key responsibilities
• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly • Transport different types of cargo in line with instructions • Complete vehicle checks before and after journeys • Secure loads appropriately and report any issues • Follow road safety, transport and site procedures • Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately • Maintain clear communication with relevant contacts during each journey • Take reasonable care of the vehicle and equipment
Skills and qualifications
• Valid HGV Class 1 driving entitlement • Appropriate Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) • Digital tachograph card • A safe, responsible and professional approach to driving • Good timekeeping and reliability • Ability to follow instructions and complete required documentation • Good awareness of road safety and vehicle checks
