Earn Up to £18.18 Per Hour + Overtime | Monday to Friday | No Weekends Blue Arrow are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading supplier within the construction materials sector for a Class 1 HIAB Driver based in St Ives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with HIAB experience looking for stable, long-term work with a well-established business offering excellent rates of pay, structured daytime hours, and the opportunity to develop a long-term career. The Role
As a Class 1 HIAB Driver, you'll be responsible for safely delivering construction and building products to customers across the region. Deliveries will include: Builders' Merchants Construction Sites Residential Properties Commercial Building Projects You'll be operating a modern fleet of articulated and drawbar vehicles, carrying out HIAB crane deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday Day shifts only Start times typically between 06:00 and 08:00 Average shift length 10-12 hours No planned nights out No weekends No Bank Holiday working
What We're Looking For
Essential
Valid Class 1 (Category CE) Licence Valid CPC Qualification Digital Tachograph Card Strong understanding of Driver Hours & WTD Regulations Professional and customer-focused approach
Preferred
ALLMI Brick & Block Certification HIAB / Lorry Loader Experience Construction or Builders Merchant delivery experience Don't have the right HIAB qualification? We can consider a limited number of experienced Class 1 drivers who are looking to develop their skills, with opportunities for HIAB upskilling available for committed candidates.
Pay & Benefits
Competitive Pay Rates: £18.18 per hour for the first 48 hours Overtime paid at 1.3x rate Additional benefits include: Consistent Monday-Friday work Modern fleet and equipment Structured day shifts Ongoing support from Blue Arrow Opportunity to secure permanent employment Many of our client's permanent drivers originally joined through agency supply before moving into full-time positions.
