About the Role
Pertemps Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for temporary, ongoing work with Royal Mail in Gatwick. This full-time opportunity involves reliable depot-to-depot driving, transporting mail along planned routes with minimal loading or unloading. Morning, evening and weekend shifts are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport mail safely between Royal Mail depots.
- Follow planned routes and work to scheduled delivery times.
- Complete vehicle safety checks before each shift and report any defects.
- Carry out any required loading or unloading duties, which are expected to be minimal.
- Comply with road traffic regulations, drivers’ hours rules and site safety procedures.
What You'll Need
- A valid HGV Class 1 driving licence.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- A sound understanding of drivers’ hours requirements and vehicle safety checks.
- A reliable, safety-conscious approach to depot-to-depot driving.
- Availability for the agreed shift pattern, with morning, evening and weekend options available.
