About the Role
Taskmaster Resources Limited is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for a contract role supporting a client in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The work involves glass bottles, not window glass, and will mainly focus on shunting duties. This opportunity suits a safety-conscious driver who is comfortable manoeuvring HGVs in an operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 1 shunting duties to support glass bottle operations.
- Move and position vehicles and trailers safely as directed.
- Complete vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
- Follow site traffic rules, safe working procedures and relevant driving regulations.
- Communicate with the site team to help keep vehicle movements organised.
What You'll Need
- A valid HGV Class 1 licence appropriate to the role.
- The ability to manoeuvre HGVs and trailers safely and accurately.
- A responsible approach to vehicle checks and workplace safety.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow site instructions.
- A reliable approach to attendance and day-to-day duties.
What's on Offer
- Hourly pay of £18.42–£22.27, with an advertised annual salary range of £38,313–£46,321.
- A £1,000 sign-on bonus: £500 payable after 30 days' continuous employment and a further £500 after 60 days' continuous employment. Terms and conditions apply.
