About the Role
VANRATH is recruiting a Heating Engineer for a permanent housing maintenance role with a leading construction company in Belfast, Northern Ireland. You will carry out heating servicing and response maintenance in domestic properties, helping to keep residents’ heating systems safe and reliable. This opportunity is suited to an engineer looking for a long-term role in domestic maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned servicing of heating systems in domestic properties.
- Respond to heating faults, diagnose problems and complete appropriate repairs.
- Check that heating systems operate safely and effectively following maintenance work.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, faults and repairs.
- Work professionally in residents’ homes, communicating clearly and keeping work areas tidy.
- Follow relevant health and safety requirements when undertaking maintenance tasks.
What You'll Need
- Relevant heating engineering qualifications and competence to undertake domestic servicing and repairs.
- Experience in domestic heating maintenance and fault-finding.
- A sound understanding of safe working practices in occupied properties.
- The ability to organise your workload and respond effectively to maintenance requests.
- Good communication skills and a considerate approach to working in residents’ homes.
