About the Role
Witherslack Group is seeking a full-time Group Safeguarding Lead based in Windsor, Windsor & Maidenhead. You will help maintain a strong safeguarding culture across services supporting children with complex and challenging needs. Working alongside education, care and clinical colleagues, you will champion practice that places children’s safety and wellbeing at the heart of decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safeguarding guidance and support to colleagues across the group.
- Support consistent implementation of safeguarding policies, procedures and good practice.
- Help colleagues recognise, record and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
- Work collaboratively with education, care and clinical teams to promote children’s welfare.
- Support safeguarding training and awareness, helping staff understand their responsibilities.
- Review safeguarding practice and contribute to ongoing improvements.
What You'll Need
- Experience of safeguarding children within education, care or a related setting.
- A strong understanding of relevant safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance and child protection procedures.
- An understanding of the needs of children with complex and challenging needs.
- The confidence to advise colleagues, exercise sound judgement and handle sensitive concerns.
- Strong communication, record-keeping and collaborative working skills.
- A child-centred approach and a commitment to promoting safe, supportive environments.
