About the Role
Technical Prospects Ltd is recruiting an experienced Groundworks Operative for an established engineering business based in North Yorkshire. This hands-on role will support the delivery of civil, electrical and groundwork packages across renewable energy projects throughout the UK. The opportunity is offered on a self-employed contract basis, with York, North Yorkshire as the advertised location and travel to project sites required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out groundwork activities to support renewable energy installations.
- Assist with the delivery of civil works and ground preparation for electrical infrastructure.
- Work alongside site teams to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Follow site instructions, project requirements and safe working procedures.
- Maintain a tidy, organised working area and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
- Travel to project locations throughout the UK as required.
What You'll Need
- Previous hands-on experience as a Groundworks Operative.
- A practical understanding of groundwork activities and civil construction environments.
- A strong commitment to health and safety on site.
- A motivated, reliable approach and the ability to work effectively within a site team.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home when projects require it.
- Availability to work on a self-employed basis, with earnings based on a 50-hour working week.
