About the Role
Network Plus is looking for a Ganger to join its team in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, on a permanent basis. You will lead a small team of operatives delivering civil engineering and utility projects safely, efficiently and to high quality standards. Working closely with Supervisors, Site Managers and Project Managers, you will coordinate daily site activities and help keep work on programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a small team of operatives on civil engineering and utility works.
- Organise day-to-day site activities to meet programme requirements.
- Ensure work follows company procedures and client specifications.
- Promote a positive safety culture and safe working practices across the team.
- Monitor the quality and progress of works, raising issues with the relevant supervisor or manager.
- Communicate clearly with site management to support efficient project delivery.
What You'll Need
- Relevant experience in civil engineering, utilities or a similar site-based construction environment.
- The ability to lead operatives and coordinate daily workloads.
- A strong understanding of site health and safety and a commitment to safe working.
- The ability to follow procedures, interpret work requirements and maintain quality standards.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with a practical approach to resolving site issues.
