About the Role
Coalesce Recruitment Limited is recruiting a permanent Field Service Engineer for an industry-leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM), working on capital equipment that must meet stringent environmental regulations. The listing is based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, with field coverage identified across Tyne & Wear, Northumberland and Cumbria. This role offers ongoing training and the opportunity to work towards Gas Safe qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out field servicing, maintenance and repairs on capital equipment.
- Investigate equipment faults and undertake appropriate corrective work.
- Support safe equipment operation in line with relevant environmental requirements.
- Communicate with customers about service work, equipment condition and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate service records and follow company working procedures.
- Travel to customer sites across the designated service area.
What You'll Need
- A relevant engineering background, with practical maintenance or servicing skills.
- A methodical approach to fault-finding and resolving technical problems.
- An understanding of safe working practices and the importance of regulatory compliance.
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
- Willingness to travel for field-based work across the stated territory.
- An interest in further technical training, including working towards Gas Safe qualifications.

- A basic salary of £34,500–£47,500, with advertised on-target earnings of £45,000–£55,000 including overtime, plus expenses.
