About the Role
Robertson Stewart Recruitment is recruiting an Estimator on a contract basis for its retained partner, a long-established, award-winning specialist contractor. Based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, the role supports projects across the UK in sectors including high-rise residential, commercial developments and stadia. This planned opening offers the opportunity to join a friendly, stable and dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for specialist construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to understand project requirements.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations to support pricing.
- Identify cost risks, scope gaps and opportunities for value within tender submissions.
- Work with colleagues to compile clear, accurate estimates and supporting documentation.
What You'll Need
- Relevant estimating experience within construction or specialist contracting.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender information.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail when preparing and checking costs.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach.
- The ability to commute to the South Yorkshire area, subject to any agreed hybrid working arrangement.
