About the Role
Demob Job Ltd is recruiting on behalf of its client for an Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor in Aldershot, Hampshire. This contract role supports Royal Signals apprentices and offers an electrically qualified ex-military engineer the opportunity to move away from hands-on work while remaining closely connected to the Armed Forces. You will use your technical knowledge and service experience to help develop the next generation of military engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess apprentices’ engineering knowledge, practical skills and progress against relevant apprenticeship requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback to help apprentices develop their electrical engineering competence.
- Apply your military engineering experience to support learning in an Armed Forces environment.
- Maintain clear records of assessments and apprentice progress.
- Work with apprentices and training colleagues to identify areas requiring further development.
What You'll Need
- An electrical engineering qualification and relevant engineering experience.
- A military engineering background gained in the Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force.
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and provide supportive feedback.
- A methodical approach to reviewing evidence and recording progress.
- A genuine interest in helping apprentices develop their skills and confidence.
