About the Role
Ramsay Health Care is seeking an Engineer to join Springfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. This full-time role involves working 37.5 hours per week and supporting a safe, reliable hospital environment through engineering and maintenance work. Springfield Hospital provides private healthcare for insured and self-paying patients, alongside NHS patients accessing treatment through the e-referral system.
Key Responsibilities
- Support legal compliance through the safe maintenance and operation of hospital facilities and equipment.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to help keep the hospital running effectively.
- Identify engineering faults and arrange appropriate repairs or escalation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections and identified issues.
- Work with hospital colleagues to minimise disruption to patients and clinical services during maintenance activities.
What You'll Need
- Relevant engineering or maintenance knowledge and practical experience.
- An understanding of health and safety requirements and the importance of statutory compliance.
- A methodical approach to fault-finding and resolving technical problems.
