About the Role
Sureserve Group is recruiting a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer for a permanent role in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, with a salary of £40,000. You will join Sureserve Energy Services Meters, formerly Providor, which provides domestic smart meter installations across the UK. Your work will support energy efficiency and sustainability by helping customers access accurate, real-time information about their energy use.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission domestic gas and electricity smart meters safely and accurately.
- Carry out appropriate safety checks and testing in line with industry requirements.
- Identify metering faults and resolve or report issues within your scope of competence.
- Explain smart meter operation to customers and help them understand their energy usage information.
- Complete installation records and maintain accurate job documentation.
- Work professionally in customers’ homes, following health and safety procedures.
What You'll Need

- A sound understanding of safe working practices and applicable metering standards.
