About the Role
Speedy Hire is looking for a professional Category C Driver to join its powered access team in Wellington, Somerset. In this contract role, you will support the safe and reliable delivery and collection of powered access equipment for customers across construction, maintenance and industrial sectors. You will work Monday to Friday, 06:00–15:00, totalling 45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect powered access equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out vehicle and load checks, reporting any defects or safety concerns.
- Ensure equipment is loaded, secured and unloaded in line with safe working procedures.
- Complete delivery, collection and vehicle records accurately.
- Communicate with customers and colleagues to support reliable service.
- Follow road transport regulations and site health and safety requirements.
What You'll Need
- A valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence and the qualifications required to drive professionally.
- A safety-focused approach to driving, handling equipment and securing loads.
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused manner.
- The ability to organise your workload and maintain accurate records.
- Availability to work the stated Monday-to-Friday schedule from Wellington.
