About the Role
HAYS Specialist Recruitment is recruiting a Design Supervisor on behalf of an established and growing specialist construction manufacturer in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland. In this permanent role, you will lead the BIM and detailing team in delivering high-quality structural precast concrete projects across the UK. This is an opportunity for an experienced design professional with a background in precast concrete, BIM coordination and team leadership to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the BIM and detailing team throughout the design process.
- Oversee the preparation and coordination of structural precast concrete models and detailed drawings.
- Review design outputs for accuracy, quality and alignment with project requirements.
- Coordinate design information with relevant project teams, helping to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Manage design priorities and workloads to support project delivery schedules.
- Provide technical guidance and encourage continuous improvement in BIM and detailing practices.
What You'll Need
- A strong background in structural precast concrete design and detailing.
- Experience in BIM coordination and the production or review of technical models and drawings.
- Team leadership skills, with the ability to guide colleagues and maintain high standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to resolving design challenges.
- Good communication and organisational skills to coordinate design activities and competing priorities.
