About the Role
Ramsay Health Care is recruiting a full-time Decontamination Technician to join the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) at New Hall Hospital, Salisbury. Although this listing is associated with Romsey, Hampshire, the role is based at the hospital in Salisbury. You will help ensure surgical instruments and equipment are safely prepared for use, supporting patient safety and a wide range of surgical procedures and treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate and sterilise surgical instruments and equipment in line with departmental procedures.
- Inspect and prepare instruments for processing, reporting any damage or concerns.
- Pack and organise processed equipment so it is ready for use by clinical teams.
- Maintain accurate processing records to support traceability and quality standards.
- Follow infection prevention and health and safety procedures throughout the decontamination process.
- Work with colleagues to support the timely supply of instruments and equipment.

- A salary of £35,694.
- Full-time hours of 37.5 per week.
- Monday to Friday working with occasional Saturdays, across shifts of 7am–3pm, 10am–6pm and 12pm–8pm.
