About the Role
Amazon TA is recruiting a Data Centre Facility Engineer in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, for a full-time role within Data Centre Engineering Operations. Working within AWS Infrastructure Services, you will help support the infrastructure that keeps the cloud running. The role focuses on reliable data centre operations, including the power, cooling and supporting equipment that enable customers to access AWS services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the safe and reliable operation of data centre facilities and infrastructure.
- Monitor facility equipment, including power and cooling systems, to help identify operational issues.
- Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain equipment reliability.
- Work with engineering and operations colleagues to investigate faults and support their resolution.
- Maintain clear records of operational checks, equipment issues and maintenance activities.
- Follow site procedures and contribute to improvements in safety and operational performance.
What You'll Need
- A technical understanding of electrical, mechanical or building services systems relevant to data centre facilities.
- A practical approach to equipment monitoring, fault-finding and problem-solving.
- An understanding of safe working practices in an engineering environment.
