About the Role
Johnson Matthey Plc is recruiting a Control Systems Engineer for a permanent, site-based role in Royston, Hertfordshire. Working within the Engineering Support Team and reporting to the Controls System Lead Engineer, you will support the PLC and SCADA systems used to monitor and control plant operations. Much of your work will focus on software-related tasks, including fault finding and maintaining control system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and install equipment and software for PLC and SCADA control systems.
- Manage and maintain the systems used to monitor and control the Royston plant.
- Investigate software and control system faults, identifying causes and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Support the reliable operation of plant control equipment through troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Work with the Engineering Support Team and Controls System Lead Engineer to address control system issues.
What You'll Need
- Practical knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems in a plant or industrial engineering environment.
- Skills in control system software maintenance and fault finding.
- An understanding of the equipment and software used to monitor and control plant processes.
- A methodical approach to investigating and resolving technical problems.
- The ability to work collaboratively within an engineering team and undertake a site-based role in Royston.
